Courses & Tools
Structured ways to learn, apply and extend the approach in practice.
The books introduce an approach to problem solving that begins with understanding before action.
This page brings that approach into practice through courses, guided learning trajectories and AI-supported tools.
Some people want to explore the approach independently.
Others want support while working on a real case.
Organizations may want a learning trajectory designed around their own context.
These different routes are brought together here.
From reading to practice
Reading can open a way of seeing.
Practice is where that way of seeing has to prove itself.
The materials on this page are meant for people and organizations who want to go beyond reading about the approach and begin working with it more deliberately in practice.
They are designed to support:
deeper learning
guided application
structured reflection
thoughtful use of AI as a partner in exploration
Not as a shortcut to answers, but as support for learning how to work more carefully with complex situations.
Choose your route
Self-Paced Course
For professionals who want to work through the approach independently, at their own pace.
This route is designed as a structured online course with video lessons, worksheets, prompts and practice materials that help participants apply the approach to their own situation.
It is intended for people who want to strengthen how they observe, frame, model and work with complex problems — independently, but with clear structure.
Planned format: annual access
Status: currently in development
If you would like to hear when this course becomes available, you can leave your email below.
Guided Trajectory
For professionals who want to work on a real case with feedback, reflection and support.
This route follows the same core approach as the self-paced course, but adds the possibility to ask questions, submit work, receive feedback and discuss next steps.
It is designed as a more intensive learning path for those who want not only to study the approach, but also to work through it with guidance while applying it to their own situation.
Planned format: guided access in 3-month trajectories
Status: currently in development
If you would like to hear when this trajectory becomes available, you can leave your email below.
Custom Online / Blended Learning
For teams and organizations that want a learning trajectory designed around their own context, cases and goals.
This route combines structured learning materials with tailored cases, custom design choices, and—where useful—serious gaming, AI-supported exercises and live or blended components.
It can be used as a standalone online trajectory or as part of a broader organizational learning setup.
Status: available now
This format is already available in tailored form for individuals, teams and organizations who want to work with the approach in a way that fits their own practice.
AI-Supported Tools
In parallel, we are developing a set of web-based tools that support the practical use of the approach.
These tools are meant to help users work with actors, perspectives, problem framing, goals and causal relations in a more interactive way.
They do not replace judgment.
They are meant to support exploration, surface alternatives and help users see more of the situation they are working in.
Over time, these tools will become part of a growing platform of applications connected to the approach.
Status: in development
If you would like to hear when these tools become available, you can leave your email below.
Who this is for
These courses and tools are for people who want to strengthen their own capacity for problem solving in complex situations.
They are especially relevant for:
professionals working with live, ambiguous or recurring problems
facilitators and educators who want more structure and depth
teams and organizations that want to improve how they frame and address complex situations
people who want to use AI carefully, without outsourcing judgment
This is probably not the right place if you are looking for:
a quick fix
a lightweight inspiration session
a simple method for clearly bounded problems
an external party to do the thinking for you
