Intercultural Escape Game
– Trompenaars Edition

Reveal your team’s hidden cultural patterns—and learn how to work better together.

Even in well-functioning teams, cultural assumptions can quietly shape how people lead, listen, decide, and collaborate. This session surfaces those patterns through play, reflection, and real-time experimentation.

Intercultural Escape Game – Trompenaars Edition

A collaborative experience that reveals cultural patterns and builds shared understanding.

What This Session Helps With

Use this session when:

  • Cultural differences are causing friction, but no one’s quite sure how or why

  • Communication styles, work habits, or decision-making approaches clash

  • Your team needs a shared vocabulary to understand how people operate differently — and why

  • You want to explore these dynamics through active learning, not lectures

What Happens

Your team plays a browser-based Serious Game — a virtual equivalent of an escape room — that requires collaboration under time pressure. As the team works together, individual and group behavior patterns surface naturally: who leads, who listens, who checks in, who pushes ahead.

But this isn’t just a game followed by a reflection. Throughout the session, we pause for brief, guided moments of observation and meaning-making. Participants reflect on what’s happening in the moment, supported by the Trompenaars cultural model, and begin to shape a team plan to collaborate more effectively.

That plan is then tested in the next round of gameplay — giving the team a chance to try new strategies, adapt roles, and see what actually works. This cycle may repeat several times: → observe → reflect → plan → re-apply → improve.

Cultural Model Used

Trompenaars’ Seven Dimensions of Culture
These provide a neutral, structured way to explore differences in values and working styles — and connect them to observable team behavior.

How It’s Adapted

We’ll discuss your context ahead of time to ensure that the game structure, interventions, and reflection points are meaningful and engaging for your team.
